1. Barnsley House, Cotswolds

Dating back to 1687, Barnsley House is an 18-bedroom Grade II-listed countryside retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. 2. Glenapp Castle, Scotland

Standing high above the dramatic Ayrshire coast in the southwest of Scotland’s historic lowlands, Glenapp Castle is a family-owned five-star baronial castle set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, complete with fairy-tale turrets and oak-panelled rooms.
