Make Horsted Place your place for saying ‘I do’ – the perfect setting for a unique country house wedding. We have three areas licensed for marriage ceremonies: the intimate Library, the larger Terrace Room with French doors on to the formal gardens and the Victorian style summerhouse in front of which ceremonies can take place outside on the lawn.

Throughout the year and whatever the season, the house and gardens provide a beautiful setting with flexible indoor spaces as a contingency for less than perfect weather. Horsted Place is available for the exclusive use of the wedding party which means you have your own fully staffed country house and garden for the day, including the bedrooms. We can only offer music and dancing when exclusive use of the house is taken.

Exclusive Use Weddings
Make Horsted Place your own place for the wedding of your dreams. With exclusive use of house many family and friends can stay overnight following the celebrations. Perhaps you have in mind a quintessentially English garden party reception followed by music, dancing and even fireworks in the evening or perhaps a ceremony on the sheltered croquet lawn.

Throughout December there are traditional Christmas decorations in the public rooms and the gardens are magical after a snowfall. Whatever the season, each special day takes on an extra dimension with this historic house as the backdrop.

Our Wedding Co-ordinator is available to help you tailor-make your wedding celebration and to guide and support you throughout the planning of the day. Our reputation is founded on impeccable service by an experienced staff who will do all possible to ensure a happy and memorable occasion.

Smaller Weddings
For a private and intimate occasion, you might consider a small ceremony in the welcoming wood-panelled library or on the croquet lawn on a perfect summer day. Not every couple wishes to celebrate with a horde of guests and a number of couples choose a midweek marriage ceremony followed by a celebratory meal in a private room – perhaps an informal lunch party or a summer afternoon tea with strawberries and Champagne. These options are also available to a wedding party whose formalities take place elsewhere.

Horsted Place doesn’t offer set wedding packages so all of our weddings are tailormade to the individual requirements of each couple. Estimated quotations are available on request.
