Ware Priory

Ware Priory is one of Hertfordshire’s premier wedding venues. If you are looking for a venue steeped in atmosphere with period architecture dating back to medieval times, or a contemporary and spacious venue that offers more of a blank canvas then Ware Priory could well be for you… we are where the past and present unite.

This Grade I listed building dating back to 1338 and has been restored to a very high standard and offers a traditional and historical space for your special day. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, each with their own charms and styles and is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Fletcher’s Lea – our much larger modern day function room – stands in the grounds of Ware Priory and offers a bright and contemporary atmosphere. It’s Riverside Suite directly overlooks the River Lea providing a truly unique backdrop.

Our seven acres of riverside grounds are perfect for photos, drinks receptions, barbeques and garden parties. There are lots of romantic spots overlooking the river including the two bridges that cross the inlet of water leading to our island. The island itself has its own bandstand. The gardens offer well kept lawns and well planted and colourful beds. There is much wildlife by the river including white Aylesbury ducks, swans, geese and squirrels.

Ware Priory’s exclusive catering partner is the London-based Seasoned, which has over 30 years’ experience in the events industry. Seasoned will provide an impeccable service with a menu designed to impress your guests and ensure that a perfect day is had by all.
